As I sat down to write this, I thought, ok, Who Am I? That’s a good question… I am still trying to figure that out daily. This is what this blog is about, my journey to figure out who I am, my relationship with God, My marriage, and raising two children. While I can’t give you the perfect answer to who I am, I can give you the basics.
I am a Christian, wife, mother, teacher, and adventure lover. For as long as I can remember, I have loved to explore and try new things. I think it started as an escape to my less than ideal childhood. ( I’ll explain more on that later…. Trust me that is its own series of posts. Let’s put it this way, some of my family could definitely be star participants on Jerry Springer. Anyways…… back to who I am….
I have been married to my husband James for 9 years; he truly is my best friend and my rock. When James and I met, I was in the Army National Guard. I spent 7 years as a Geospatial Engineer ( a fancy way to say I analyzed data and made maps.) We have two wonderful children, Brayton and Lainey.
I am a special education teacher at my rural hometown school in central Missouri. I love doing anything outdoors, especially if I get to do it with my family. I love to try new things, go new places, and be outdoors in nature. I hope you enjoy following us as we navigate the real world, parenting, and whatever life has to throw at us.
